Abuelo had heard Jose moaning and shuffling during the night and guessed the poor boy was suffering again, more than usuall. There was no school today so he let the poor boy lie as it was all he could do to help him. By the time Jose stirred it was midday.
Jose’s grandfather was amazed and upset at the same time. A miracle had occurred!
No two miracles!
Miracle one was that Jose had fumbled for his glasses as always then discovered that instead of the usual blurriness of vision, everything was pin sharp! The glasses still lay on the table, never to be used again.
Miracle two was that Jose’s leg had also seemed to be o.k.! He could walk without the usual limp and he stood upright and not leaning over to one side! It was truly incredible. But how and why?
