Brandon POV:     As much as I loved working out even I needed a break every now and then. A war was on the rise and we were all on edge, Alley was getting new abilities every time we turned around, not that I minded. I thought it was pretty badass. Seeing all the element carriers was crazy for me, maybe because I am not a witch or anything, but they were crazy looking. My wolf, Lane has been on edge since everything happened. We didn't like someone trying to kill our Luna and even though she can take care of herself we would still lay our lives down to protect her at all costs. Maybe it is a good thing I haven't met my mate yet, maybe the goddess is waiting until after this war. I wasn't really sure. I wanted to give up on looking and in a way I did. I stopped turning my nose up to see if I could pick up on a scent that would take me to her. I stopped going to meetings that didn't require my presence, Lane and I just needed to be patient a little longer. "What are you doing today?" Alex asked throwing a pillow at me. "I was trying to nap before training. What are you doing today?" I asked. "I think I am going to take the day off and go to that pond at the back of the lands, I could use a little fun. Why don't you come with me?" Alex said looking at me.      It was then that I noticed he was in swim trunks. "You know what, f**k it I'll come with you. Let me go and change." I said jumping to my feet running up the stairs. I could use a good fun day. When I was done changing I grabbed a towel and made my way back downstairs. "What is going through your head?" Alex asked. "Just everything that is going on. Who knew Alley would be the target of something." I replied. "Oh I know, you've seen those carriers right? The wind guy looks freaky as hell." Alex said shaking his head. "He does, but he has a very hyper personality." I laughed. "I guess, it is pretty cool to see her and the other Lunas train though. I've never seen Lunas actually train like that." Alex said. He was right, but then again we didn't know of any other Luna that had gifts like that. Even the other six hid their abilities because witches and wolves don't really mix together. All the races tend to keep to themselves but Alley had a crazy plan to form an alliance with the dark witches and the vampires. I haven't heard all too good things about either queens. You have one that killed her mother for an unknown reason and the other that is just flat out vicious with zero remorse for what she does.      I wasn't really sure how that was going to go but I know I will hear about it when they get back. "When is Alley meeting with the dark witch queen?" I asked. "Not sure, she sent the message through two other dark witches, they are at a picnic with Danny right now." Alex replied. I honestly hope that the dark witch queen isn't as bad as we had heard. Maybe there was a reason she killed her mother or maybe there isn't. Alley was trusting that the queen be calm long enough for the talk. Only time will tell I suppose. When we reached the pond I sat on the edge and looked down in to the water. Alex was getting ready to jump off the ledge when Stephens voice rang out in our heads. "I need the two of you by the play ground, Pythia is here." Stephen said evenly. I rolled my eyes. "That didn't take very long." I huffed standing to my feet. "I have back up clothes behind the tree, you can barrow some." Alex said tossing me a bag. I quickly changed and we ran towards to field. I could see Alley and Stephen with a few others making their way towards the woods. We fell in line behind them silently. I didn't know what to expect but I knew I was about to find out just who this Pythia woman was and what was going to happen.     When we got closer I could see three figures but the middle woman stood taller than the other two did. We stopped not far out, I looked around to see that Tye was staring at her weirdly. His nose lifted for a second before he shook his head. Maybe they stink. I lifted my nose to sniffed but couldn't really smell anything but the woods around us. Then again the shield that was put in to place is kind of blocking that.   "I heard the great white witch herself summoned me herself and I have to admit I am curious." Pythia said tilting her head to the side. "I did, I caught those two at a house where we found an enemy. Care to explain that?" Alley asked crossing her arms across her chest.     Pythia tilted her head to the side as if she was amused by what Alley had said. "I figured you would be.. bigger, but these two said you were stronger than you appear." She said earning a few growls from us. I didn't like the tone she had in her voice as she said that. She narrowed her eyes at us but brought her eyes back to Alley. "You see, my mother was a power w***e. Wanted it all and didn't care what would happen to her and the rest of us. When word came that you were the great white witch it angered my mother and she wanted your power." Pythia said looking disgusted. "Bosch had came to us wanting to work together but she denied him, she didn't want to share that power, but then I looked in to what would happen if she did consume your power." She said pausing, pinching the bridge of her nose. "She would have literally burst taking all of our kind with her to the after world. You see why I had to kill her and take over?" She asked, "What do you mean she would have burst taking you all with her?" Alley asked. That was a good question, I thought if you are a witch you could do all the magic that comes with it.  "We are dark witches with dark magic, if we were to consume white magic it would kill us. Our bodies aren't meant to carry it. Even if a basic dark witch consumes it, it will kill them almost instantly." Pythia replied.      Now that made sense though, the goddess only gives us what we can handle. "Then I heard of a few dark witches that have been working for Bosch, taking our herbs and potions to aid him so I sent these two to figure out who it was." Pythia added, never once taking her eyes off of Alley. She was a little intimidating. "They must have been working for him for a long time then because the traitor we caught had a ritual held to make her become some sort of seer. It's how Bosch knew about me before I did." Alley said tilting her head to the side. "Ah yes, the elders, they were asked to do that and they did, they were recently killed but not by our hands." Pythia replied. "What happened to them?" I asked. "Not sure, we were all in meeting and their necks just snapped." She replied. "Oh s**t, were they tied to Bethany?" Emma asked through the link. "When they did the ritual did they tie themselves to Bethany?" Alley asked, now I've got a reaction. Shock registered on her face. "Yes, in order to make a seer it has to be infused with dark magic. How did you know?" Pythia asked. "Well we killed Bethany for her crimes, the woman she hurt the most snapped her neck at a public execution." Alley replied. We didn't know it would kill others but honestly I didn't care.      "Well that answers that. I don't harbor any bad feelings, they knew what would happen, I came to offer peace for now at least. It seems we want to stop the same thing." She said looking at all of us. "That is something we will have to talk about privately. Once we discuss it we will come to you, so long as we stay within our shield we know dark magic can't touch us." Alley replied. "Very well. You know where to find me for now I bid you a good day." Pythia said before her and the other two disappeared. I was standing in shock at how well that conversation went. "We are going to go back and discuss things, I will keep you two updated. I might need you guys to stay here and watch over the pack." Stephen said pulling me out of my thoughts. "We can do that. I'm hungry anyways." Alex said shrugging his shoulders. I looked over at Tye to see he was still staring at where Pythia was standing. I walked over to him, "You alright?" I asked. "Yeah, just an odd feeling." Tye replied. "What odd feeling?" I asked looking at where they were once standing. "I don't know. I thought I smelled something but I guess not. Anyways, I have a few things to go and check on. I'll see you guys later." Tye said as he turned and walked off. "What was that about?" Alex asked.      I was a little confused if I was being honest. "I am honestly not sure, he is alright though and that is what matters." I said nudging Alex with my shoulder. "Let's go to that diner and get an order to go. We can at least watch a movie or something." Alex said as we walked across the field. There was times I was overly happy that I was nothing more than a gamma in this pack. Alphas and Lunas take on so much work but when they have to step out it normally falls on the Beta, which is Alex but he always asks for my help, not that I mind. I like to laugh when he gets frustrated over female wolves getting pissy that he won't date them. Honestly, he has never shown any interest in any female, I just figured he was waiting for his mate to show up one day. "What do you think of what Pythia said?" Alex asked. "Man, I don't even know. If she really did kill her mother to save her race then I really don't blame her. I heard her mother was a lunatic." I replied. "Oh yeah, I did hear that too. The whole magic thing is weird to me, probably because I don't understand it." Alex replied as we walked in to the diner. "Hey fellas, take out order again?" Lisa asked smiling at us. "Yes ma'am our usual." I replied easily.      We didn't have to wait very long for our order to come out, I grabbed the bag while Alex paid. When we walked back outside everyone was running around like they were on a timed schedule. We got back to the house and sat in the living room, I could hear them all talking upstairs but I didn't pay much attention to what was being said, I knew Stephen would come down and tell us when he was ready. "Got a preference on what to watch?" Alex asked. "Nah, just pop in the first thing you find." I replied digging our burgers out of the bag. We had just started eating when Stephens voice rang out in my head. "We are going to meet Pythia, watch over the pack we will be back in a bit." He said before cutting the line. I assumed it was because they were teleporting there. "I really hope it isn't a trap." Alex said shaking his head. "If it is they will call to us and we will kill any of them that so much as look at them wrong." I replied. Did we like having to kill people? No. But would we if we absolutely had to? Yes. There was just something about Pythia that made me really want to believe what she was saying.      I don't think she is all that bad but this Bosch dude might be the one to bring us all together, it would be nice to be able to go to new places without having to worry about a vampire or witch trying to attack us but I guess only time will tell......
