Shifting in her seat, Kelly winced just slightly.
“Are you alright?” Tate asked with a frown as he entered their bedroom, two mugs of steaming hot chocolate in his hands. Setting them down, he studied Kelly before sitting down next to her.
“Yeah,” she nodded brightly, wincing again as she leaned forward to take one of the cups. Blowing on the hot drink, she took a sip and sighed.
“Are you sure?” he pressed, his eyebrows knitting together as he watched her wince again.
“Yeah,” she repeated before smirking at him. “But if you’re really worried about it, maybe you should keep your hands to yourself tonight.”
“What? Why would I…? Oh,” he stammered, his eyes going wide as what Kelly said finally clicked. “Did I hurt you? Goddess, why didn’t you say anything?”
