The house was quiet, too quiet. Running a hand through his hair, Tate swiveled his office chair to face the window and peered out. The sun was just starting to rise above the horizon meaning that in the next hour or two, the packhouse would be back to its normal busy state. Until then, he would be left alone with his thoughts, and he wasn’t sure he could handle them anymore. They were driving him mad. Closing his new laptop, he stood up and stretched.
