"Well at least I'm natural"
Ok I will admit that was a little bit bitchy but come on the life sized Barbie doll pushed me to say it. If anything she's the one that's bitchy here. Not like I'm lying though her oddly coloured hair didn't look a bit natural even she can see through that. Not like speaking the truth is going to save me from her wrath right now.
"You stupid, dumb, weak, over sensitive human" The lady screeched trying to claw at me.
Damon quickly pushed me behind him. I honestly don't want to hide behind him not because IM stupid enough to challenge her to a fight but mostly because I want to see the look on her face as she's annoyed at my insult.
"Hmmm feisty isn't she. You will never get tired of this one son. No wonder you kept her alive, I would too" The man said.
"Crystal don't start right now. She wasn't exactly lying though she probably shouldn't have said it but she'd not lying your hair isn't natural and there's nothing wrong in using fake colours so why are you offended. And as for you dad I have said it so many times. She's not for sale I don't share. Now can we just supervise as we are meant to" Damon finished grabbing my hand.
His father nodded and started watching the humans while crystal the b***h glowered at me.
"Why don't you come with me Damon they are so many things I would looooove to show you. You can just leave your pet here to work like the others so she won't get in our way" Crystal cooed.
She dragged the "loooove" almost like she was choking on the word just to childishly throw in my face what she really wants to do with him. How is this b***h someone important again. She's immature.

"I would love to but no I can't. I'm here to supervise and I'm not leaving Lizzy anywhere she's not working" Damon declared.
His dad raised his eyebrow while Crystal screeched.
" What do you mean she isn't working. She a human. All humans must work! Its the law. She's not above the law so she can't just be exempted. Every human works even my stupid bloodbag" Crystal yelled.
"Firstly I made that law and I can do whatever I want with it. And two I'm the king I decide who works or not and I'm not going to let her work. Or what are you going to challenge your king" Damon asked with his eyes narrowing to slits
"No No No! Of course not. Its just I was surprised forgive me my king ". Crystal said

Crystal glared at me probably hearing my thoughts but didn't say a word because of Damon.
" Walk with me Lizzy" Damon said.
I obediently followed like a good little pet but not before receiving a glare from Queen b***h herself.
" You have a loud mouth there don't you" Damon asked.
"Not all the time. She was constantly insulting me" I defended.
"Yes I understand Crystal can be a b***h at times" Damon said.

"I figured. Who is she" I retorted .
"She's one of the women in high places in the vampire clans. She comes from a long line of amazing warriors. My father, Vlad wants me to marry her. He thinks she's the perfect substitute mate for me since I um... Couldn't find my vampire mate" He said.
" Huh? What does any of that actually mean" I asked.
"Every Vampire is entitled to one mate. The vampire males normally find their mates at 21 years of human age. But its been 9 years since I was supposed to find my mate and there's still no sign of her. Many believe I'm cursed. Its just a weird thing for a vampire not to have a mate. So my dad arranged a substitute mate. Which happened to be crystals who he deemed as the perfect woman. He said she beautiful, smart and a strong leader. He praised the ground she worked on so much I almost asked him to just marry her. So right now everyone expects me to marry crystal" He finished.
"My condolences. It must be hard" I added.
"What? Being Mateless" Damon said.
"No, Being expected to marry Crystal" . I said.
Damon started laughing. I laughed too and preety soon humans started turning in shock. I understand how they feel I would be surprised too seeing a vampire and a human laughing together.
"Do you think your ever going to find your mate" I asked.
He looked at me for a long time before he squeezed my hands. " Maybe I already have"
" Being king must be a huge responsibility " I said.
"It is but I have the perfect person beside me as I do it" . He said.
At that point my mind didn't even think to consider he was talking about me.
"Are vampires taken over everywhere in the world" I asked.
"Oh yeah. My brother Xavier is running over things in other continents and my most trusted men in a few other places. I took over America. I decided to go for Los Angeles though we will eventually move to Florida". Damon answered.
" Maybe we should be getting back. Crystal might be looking for you" I said turning back.
"I want to stay with you not crystal"
" Isn't she like your wife" I asked.
"They want her to be. But she isn't. I'm not going to marry her''.
And for some reason that sentence made me happy.
