Book 3, Burton Crane Chapter 4WITH HIS DAY IN Landshut all but over, most of it spent on the phone, Burton Crane stretched his legs and enjoyed the afternoon breeze outside Gasthof Trausnitz. The word from headquarters suggested conflict on the home front about his investigation. He had to play this by ear, which was fine. The beer made him sluggishly comfortable.
