Matt
Luna Lisa: “This can no be. Brett, calm down. He has to be lying!”
I’m in for it. My mother is trying to calm my dad, but his face is redder than hell, and I can feel his anger across the room radiating off of him.
Brett (Matt’s father): “I have so many questions, but let’s start with the most important. Are you a f*****g i***t??”
Matt: “ Umm, no?”
Brett: “Obviously, you are with that tiny freaking brain of yours.”
Malic: “Told you you’re an idiot.”
Damn, is it just hate on Matt day or something? That took a lot of courage to say to everyone.
Matt: “Okay, now that we are hopefully done insulting me I..” I didn’t have time to finish when dad interrupted me.
Brett: “Oh, I’m not done. Do you pay attention to anything we teach you? Rejecting your mate as an Alpha makes you weak. If she accepts your rejection you are pretty much f****d. The Goddess gives us our perfect match. The other half to our soul. Also, as the rejector you will never have a second chance, but if our Goddess Selene decides to give Amanda a second chance you will have to walk around with that the rest of your life. I swear Lisa we raised a f*****g idiot.”
Lisa: “Now honey, look at it through Matt’s eyes. He was doing all of us a favor. That wolf less girl could never be a Luna. He was looking out for his pack. I’m sure the Goddess made a mistake and grant our Matty with a second chance.”
My dad just put his head in his hands and chuckled. That’s when you know he’s on the verge of loosing it. Everyone in the office including mom and I were baring down in submission. His Alpha aura has never been that high.
Brett: “ I’m in an office of idiots! Lisa you were in this office when her parents asked to be omegas in the pack!! She’s not wolf less. She comes from the Blue Opal Pack. Her parents were the Alpha and Luna! Her father could have easily challenged me and won our pack.”
The Blue Opal Pack? But, that’s Selene’s Pack. The Goddess herself. The very first pack to exist. My eyes went huge. The Rogue king, Bethem, wiped them out after Selene refused his wants to claim her.
Brett: “You have find her. You have to take back your rejection before she accepts it. She is a direct decadent from Selene. She is a special wolf. With special abilities.”
At this point my mother is crying and I am beyond upset at myself that I let such an amazing gift go.
Malic: “I told you stupid. I hope she rejects you. You don’t deserve her.”
With that he cut our link and left me alone with my thoughts. He’s right. I don’t deserve her, but I want to try to win her back.
Matt: “She couldn’t have gotten too far hopefully. Let’s call the neighboring Alphas asking about new members. I will find her.”
Two weeks later:
Brett: “I’ve asked around and no one is saying they’ve had any new members, but Blue Mountain Pack.”
Fuck. That’s our biggest enemy. Their pack is twice our size. Dad has tried talking to their Alpha about an alliance, but for some reason it has never come through. We are so screwed. How am I getting her back now?
Amanda
For the past two weeks me and Brad have been training none stop. After I left the hospital Alpha and Luna came up with a bright idea that we were going back to Red River Pack so I can accept Matt’s rejection and move on. Angela is not happy about this at all, but what can I do? He rejected me and I didn’t even have the knowledge of how to save myself from this hurt he can put me through.
Angela: “Please don’t Amanda. There are things you don’t know, and I’m telling you this is a bad idea. Selene is not going to like this at all.”
Amanda: “Then explain to me what I don’t know. We’ve never had secrets before Angela. How am I supposed to know what decision to make if I don’t know everything? I know he rejected us, and decided even though the bond wasn’t broken to be unfaithful and put us through that pain.”
Angela: “It is not my place to tell. You will know soon enough. Just know this is a big mistake.”
With that she cut our link and retracted into my mind.
Brad walked up to me. He looked like he was mindlinking someone also.
Brad: “Alpha said we leave tomorrow for your home pack. Be ready at eight in the morning. Go get some rest. Tomorrow will be eventful.”
Finally. Let’s get this done. I’m ready to be completely free of the Red River Pack.
