Matt
With the last words of the rejection said I could see the pain within her. Malic was howling and growling at me. My heart felt like someone was constantly stabbing it. I was confused. She didn't have a wolf , so she shouldn't feel the pain I felt. But, leaving her in the kitchen passed out from the pain, I knew something was wrong. I walked away trying to get to my room before anyone found me with her.
I linked everyone to leave me alone, and I stayed in my room the rest of the day. I didn't even bother to ask how Amanda was. No need to raise even more suspicion.
Amanda
I woke up on the kitchen floor. My heart felt empty, and my whole body felt numb. I wanted to wait on my birthday to leave, but I obviously can not wait any longer.
I didn't even cook breakfast. I ran to my room, and packed the few belongings I had. Angela had been silent sense I heard Matt's words. I knew she'd be hurt, but I had to push on and wait for her emotional wounds to heal. As I was packing the last bit of my belongings in my only backpack Angela finally decided to grace me with her presence.
Angela: "We leave in 5 minutes. They will wake soon."
Amanda: "I'm so sorry Angela..." I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I was sorry she lost her other half. the soul mate the Mood Goddess gives each wolf.
Angela: " Do not apologize. We will work to make us stronger. We will never apologize again unless we've truly done wrong. We will show everyone here our true capability."
With that she cut our link and remained silent. I knew she was still with me and not pushed back in the deepest part of my mind. But, I also knew she was hurt. We'd get past this though.
I threw my backpack over my shoulder, and ran through the back door. Everyone will be waking up soon, and I am not staying around to say bye to these fuckers.
As I ran through the forest I was silent and precise with every step. One wrong noise and the border patrol will be hunting me down.
Angela pushed herself to the front and shared my body. we both were in control. It is one on the many talents I was blessed with. Two is always better than one.
We finally reached the border. I gave it all one last look. Finally. We are free. Angela and I decided a long time ago that we wouldn't reject the Red River Pack. It would cause us to be rogue, and that was never a good thing. It would be harder to get into a new pack, and it would cause a huge target to be put on my back. No thanks.
With that final thought I turned around and started walking. We would probably run into another packs border patrol at some point. But, until then we headed North. I want as far from the Red River Pack as possible.
Angela will come out long enough to hunt, and for us to sleep. We had been walking for two days. My backpack was ripped. I had cuts everywhere from walking through the forest. My feet hurt, but if I needed a break Angela would take over, and give me strength to carry on. I was shocked we hadn't run into another pack by now, or at least rogues. During the day as we would walk Angela would train me. She wanted my sight and hearing better than any other wolves. I had to pinpoint where the sound came from and what made it. As I was walking and lost in my own world I heard the snap of a stick. s**t. Here we go.
Angela was on full alert, and at this moment I was beyond grateful she trained me. SNAP! Whatever it is it's getting closer. I lowered by body and stayed listening.
My whole body was crouched down is defense mode. I heard another SNAP of a twig. I stood up ready to give my intruder the fight of their life when hands hugged me from behind. Damn it! I didn't focus.
Unknown: "You don't smell like rogue, what's your business here?"
Amanda: I knew this was going to happen eventually. I just still didn't want to explain my shitty life. "I'm not a rogue. I stayed a member of my pack, so other packs would know I'm not harmful. Please don't make me go back. I left due to abuse. I can not go back." It was short, sweet, and to the point. No need to have a drawn out explanation. The guy looked like he was mind linking someone, so I sat on a log and waited.
Jared: "My name is Jared, my Luna would like to meet you. Please, follow me."
Amanda: "I'm Amanda..."
My whole body was pounding with anticipation. At least I'm hopefully free. Maybe the Luna will take pity on me.
We walked through the pack house and to the most beautiful garden I had ever seen. Tending to the roses there stood a beautiful woman. She had gorgeous long blonde hair that was straight as a line, and flowed beautifully down her back. She had beautiful green eyes, and a smile that made even me want to smile. Jared walked up to her a kissed her cheek. Whispering words that made her face turn red. I didn't realize I was with the Alpha. I don't even know what pack I'm in.
Luna Rose: "Hello, I am Luna Rose, and welcome to Blue Mountain Pack. I want you to make yourself at home here. I have a few questions, but I'd like you to get a warm shower and get into clean clothes. Dinner is at 6, it is 4 now. I have a room ready for you, and there are clothes Jared said might fit you." Blue Mountain Pack? I never thought I'd cross onto their land. It's my homes pack biggest rival. They won't be nice when they learn where I'm from.
I decided to at least get a shower and a nice hot meal before I hopefully continue on my way. I thank Luna Rose and head to my room. At least I escaped.
Matt
Two days. It has been two freaking days sense Amanda left. I never thought she'd actually just leave. I'm not even alpha yet, so I can't put a team together to find her. Malic has completely gone silent. The only time I hear from him is training, or on our missions.
I will never forget over hearing Brittany laughing and talking to her friends about how she left. Hearing my mom yell at dad telling him she was never welcomed back. My heart felt like it shattered. I didn't want her to leave. I just wanted a strong Luna.
