Chapter Two

We were seated on the plane. When the piolet told us to place our seatbelts on. Before we had been seated in the little room where there was a table. Devon and myself were holding a meeting of things we needed to get done when we landed in Hawaii. I was going to be glad to be back in California after this. At least closer to home. Then we were going all over the USA. And to England and who knew where else. We were now on our way to Honolulu. The plane begins to shake suddenly. I gasp as we are sitting in seats wearing our seatbelts now. I glance past Devon out the window. We were moved from the table conference room to our normal seats. Lighting was flashing and a storm was brewing. I jump as lighting flashes close to the plane. Devon places a comforting hand into mine. He squeezes my hand lightly. ♥☆♥☆♥ "Look at me sweetheart it will be okay" he promises me softly. I not as I wince in the chair. The plane begins to shake violently. Devon gasps himself. He was going to get up to see what was going on up front and get some answers. But I make him sit back down. There was nothing to be done. One of the windows explodes. I scream. I shake with fear. The plane shakes more. We were going down. I could feel it. "Devon!" I cry out. "We are going to die!" I scream with fright. "Duck your head between your legs. Stay down, and hold on tight" he instructs me. I do as he says. Tears stream down my face. This was it we were going to die. I never even got to tell Devon I loved him. How could this happen to us? His jet was always so strong. And well taken care of? I guess not even the strongest planes could hold up against the wrath of god. The plane shakes worse and worse. To the point I feel my own brain shakes. I feel glass shattering in the air. More of it. I scream but I can't hear myself scream. We land with a thud but keep on sliding down a hill. I feel Devon's protective arms go around me. I hold his hands in mine as we hover down. Then the plane jolts back. I see Devon jerk back nearly out of his seat. But he had been trying to protect me. Now he was paying the price for it. I scream with horror. I grasp at him holding him down in his seat. I can see his seat belt was torn now. We hold onto one another. I use what force I have to pull him down. He was heavier than I was. I see fear in Devon eyes as our eyes meet. I then see a part of the plane come right at us. I duck. Devon does not see it. It hits him in the forehead. He falls to the floor. I gasp as I fumble to get my seatbelt off. We had landed but the plane was still sliding down some hill some place. The plane could explode at any given moment here. Devon lay passed out and bleeding on the floor. ♥☆♥☆♥ "Devon please wake up" I beg of him. "Devon!" I scream. He opens his eyes and looks at me a moment. "I can't" he mutters. His eyes fall shut. "Devon, I need you" I beg of him. Tears spring to his eyes. BLAM. My body shakes into the seat. I fall to the floor. The plane stops shaking at last. And my body falls next to Devon's. My head feels heavy. Then my eyes shut close. I was not sure how long I had been out. Later on, I wake. I look over to see lights flashing over head until they go out. And Devon was laying near me on the floor. He was bleeding badly. I had to get us off the plane. "Devon are you okay? Please answer me" I whisper. "We landed. I am not sure where" I manage to say. "I am so scared" I whimper. I move him so he is facing on his backside. I take his wrist in my hands to find a pulse. "Please oh please" I say a prayer for him. "Devon you can't leave me" I cry. He was alive. I place my hand on his chest. I can feel him breathing. ♥☆♥☆♥ I see sparks flying above us. Dangerous ones. This plane was going to blow soon. I had to see if the piolet or others on the plane lived. If they needed help to. I stand up on the shaky plane. My head pounds. I feel my forehead. I had a huge bump on it. My wrist was hurting me where I landed on it. Devon pretty much saved my life. He risked his own life to save my own. I make my way to where the stewardess was located at. Both were dead. Laying on the floor lifeless. I make my way to the front where the cockpit was. And the piolets were at. When I get up there, I see a tree log smashed into the window of the plane. Right between the piolets were at. This was like a real horror movie. I was not sure how much more I could take. I touch the shoulder of the man in the first chair. I scream with horror at what I find. The man was dead. He was bleeding out. He had tree branches daggered into his chest. And the other man did to. Their mouths were wide open. With shock. Tears come to me. I did not know what to do next. It was horrific. My hands shake. I feel woozy. I was going to puke. I wander over behind the dead body. I throw up. The smell of death was in the air. Death was after me. After Devon. I wince as my stomach lets up finally. I lift back up. And I go to reach for the radio. Seeing if maybe it might work. As I go to touch it a spark flies out attacking my hand. I scream. I head to the back. I had to get Devon out of here. We were the only one's left alive. For now. I had to make sure to get him off the plane. Before it blew. I read over the top how to get the door and the emergency slid out. I had to yank on it as I did the plane moves and shakes. I gasp. I move faster. Then I get to Devon. ♥☆♥☆♥ "Devon the plane is going to blow. Come on sweetie" I beg him. "Please wake up" I beg him. I get him to open his eyes. "Atta boy!" I sigh. "Come on Devon. I will get you off here" I vow. I lean down. I have him lean on me. I try helping him get up. We wobble back then forth. I nearly drop him to the floor. "Sorry buddy, sorry" I wind my words out. My heart races. More sparks fly above our heads. "Come on Devon. Keep going. Once we get off here, we can take a nap. I will take care of you okay?" I say. "Okay buddy?" I ask him. I was trying to keep him awake as he leaned into me. "Are you hurt? Are you okay Mel?" he asks me softly. "Focus on getting out Devon focus buddy" I order him. We wobble our way to the slide. It was not going to fit to the ground all the way. We would have to jump some of the way down. I hang onto Devon as we get onto the slide. We slide down. I scream as I do. I could not help it. We were in some tropical mountain forest. I get near the bottom of the slide. "JUMP Devon!" I order him. We jump. Then fall to the floor. We were safe. But not out of the woods yet. That plane was going to blow. And it could kill us. "Devon come on. We gotta keep moving" I order to him. I help him back to my side. ♥☆♥☆♥ "That plane is going to blow" I tell him. "we have to get out of this area" I get Devon to move faster. I hear it. Metal creaking. I glance back over my shoulder. The plane is sliding off the hill we had been on. Then it slides off. We hear a BOOM! A powerful explosion. We fall to the ground. Then we keep moving. We end up on a beach with a beautiful shoreline. I rip part of my sleeve off. I make Devon lay on his back. I get water on the sleeve. Then wander back to his side. I wash his cut off. Then apply pressure to it. His beautiful eyes look at me with trust in them. I smile down at him with tears in my eyes. "The plane crashed. I checked. Everyone was dead" I warn him. "We could not have saved them" He nods. "I am so tired. My head hurts so bad" he groans. I had my purse still strung to my shoulders. I rummage in there for aspirin. I get some water for him. I know it was saltwater. Then have him take some pills for his pain. He makes a face. "Sorry buddy" I sigh. "Please try to stay awake. I am sure we were going to be looked for. They knew we were supposed to land" I tell him. "If we stay in the open fields here, they will find us" I tell Mike. "Please hold me" I hear him say. "I am just in pain. I need you Mel" he whispers to me. "Does it hurt other than your forehead?" I worry. He was not answering. He fell back asleep. Weary and in pain. I pull him into my arms. Right in my lap. I try to get the bleeding to stop. "Devon do not leave me. I need you so much right now. I am so scared" I whisper softly. I brush his hair out of his face. "they will find us. They will come take us home" I promise him. "Everything will be alright" I say softly though I did not believe my own lies myself. This was not an island of paradise. It was hell. I landed in hell. No telling if we were ever going to find our way out of here. ♡♪♬♪♡♪♬♪♡♪♬♪♡♪♬♪♡
