Chapter 3 WE HAVE A SECOND CHANCE MATE.

Inara's POV CONTINUES. "Do you have anything to do with this?" I asked, and she threw me a smirk. "And what if I did?" She threw back my question at me. Daniella was growling furiously in my head, wanting to take control and claw Stephanie's face out, but I controlled her. "Why?" I asked. "Why are you doing all this?" I asked weakly, feeling she was hurting me too much when I did just nothing to her. "I just hate you," she said. "And I will do anything to make your pathetic, useless life miserable, for as long as I breathe." She growled, venom laced in her voice, and I shivered, scared. "This is just the beginning, Inara," she said. "I tricked your fated mate into rejecting you, and getting your father to use your mom's life to threaten you so you can take my place and marry that miserable prince is just the beginning," she told me, and I gasped. "What did I ever do to you?" I yelled. "Nothing," she replied with a shrug. "Besides, it's not my fault; you are miserable and useless, resulting in people just tossing you aside, anyhow," she added. Her words pang my heart, for they are the truth. I started shedding tears once again, despite not wanting to. "Awww, did I break Inara's fragile heart?" Stephanie mocked, but I just continued sitting there, crying silently, and giving her the power to trample on me once again. "Dear Inara, no one would ever want you; if your fated mate could leave you for me, who would not?" She asked, and I sat there, thinking she was right. "I would have loved for you to stay for me and Kelvin's wedding, but too bad, you have to leave to get married," she mocked with a grin before turning and leaving my room. "Why did you not allow me to scratch her eyes out?" Daniella growled. "We both know we are no match for her and have no supporters," I reminded Daniella. " So? It does not mean we should keep allowing her or others to trample on us."Daniella yelled, and I signed. "There is nothing we can do but endure and avoid even bigger trouble or punishment," I told Daniella. "Why do you have to be a f*****g coward?" She growled before angrily sinking to the back of my head. I smiled weakly before lying down on my bed. I closed my eyes to sleep, sincerely wishing that when I woke up the next morning, I would find out that everything that happened was a dream. ************************************************************************************************** TWO days later I was gorgeously dressed in a long, white, overflowing gown. My hair was packed into a bun, with some strands left open. Different, expensive pins and clips were attached to my hair. I had never been dressed like this before, and I knew my father only ordered me to be dressed extravagantly because he did not want the moonlight pack to suspect anything. Today was the day I left and said goodbye to my home and my miserable life. I never knew when I would be able to see my mom again, so I went to her last night and kissed her goodbye before hugging her tightly. It hurts so much to leave, but I have no choice; I have to save my mom's life. I slowly walked out of our palace, towards the open, beautifully decorated carriage. As I was moving the closet, clenching my arms together, I sighted Dad, Stephanie, and Kelvin together. She was locked in his embrace. Of course, this might hurt, but there was nothing I could do. As I got closer to them, Stephanie threw me a smug look while burying herself deeper into Kelvin's arms. I could feel the urge to cry once again, but I made up my mind not to ever show them my fragile side any longer. I walked up to Dad, nodded at him, and proceeded to enter the carriage. As the driver took off, leaving behind my castle, I knew I would never return there again. I was saying goodbye to them and everything behind them, but one day I will come and get my mother. I looked out the window to enjoy the view but saw nothing but rocks and woods. I decided to close my eyes then and rest a little till we got to the moonlight pack. The driver woke me up a few hours later, informing me that we had arrived. He helped me get down, and I was shocked by what I saw in front of me. My father's castle was nothing compared to this at all. This was so extravagant and beautiful. There were thousands of guards on standby, and the floor looked like it was frozen. Just then, someone came to my front and introduced himself. "Welcome Princess; I am Gideon, the Alpha King's guard," he said, and I nodded to him in acknowledgment. "Please come with me," he requested, and he turned to leave, not even waiting for my answer. I followed straight right behind him, and we fully entered the castle. I gasped at what I was witnessing. The inside was even more gorgeous; I admired the statues of brave werewolf warriors I saw. The ancient antiques on the wall, the rare paintings and drawings, Soon, we arrived in front of a large door, which was opened by two powerful guards. I sighted the king on his throne; immediately, I stepped foot into the room and saw a smaller chair beside him, where a handsome-looking guy was sitting. I guess he must be the crown prince. Just then, I started perceiving the most enchanted smell ever, and when I tried tracing it, it led to a stoic, cold-looking guy seated in a wheelchair. At first, I was confused, then gasped as I realized what just happened. "WE HAVE A SECOND CHANCE MATE", Daniella growled, delighted.
