WHEN HE WOKE UP, the smell of corned beef, coffee and rice greeted him in the kitchen area. Andoon na si Stacey, naghahapag ng pagkain para sa kanila. She smiled brightly at him, that he almost forgot all his worries.
Nang umupo siya sa kitchen chair ay humagod ito sa likod niya at niyakap siya, hinagod ng kaunti ang balikat niya at pagka’y humarap na ito sa kaniya.
He seemed at loss for words, how could he explain to her everything? Alam niyang kagabi ay galit ito sa kaniya ngunit hindi lang nito ininda at mas piniling magpahinga siya.
“Any plans for today?” he asked.
“Not so much,” she crinkled her nose. “Tapos na at wrap up na lahat para sa New year greeting at contents. New Year is just a few days ago so I think it’s good to relax.”
