“TITO LUCAS, TARA NA, naghihintay na sa ‘tin si mommy sa dinner,” ani Sofia ng mapansing napatulala saglit ang tito niya sa kotse. Sinundo siya nito mula school.
Lucas shaked his head, “Oh, I’m sorry Sofia, I’m just remembering something.”
“Something like?”
“It’s a secret, but you will know.”
Napangiti lang ang bata, “Maybe this is all about my gift, right?”
“Absolutely,” Lucas just uttered and the child beside him squealed.
Pagdating ng bahay ay piniringan nila si Sofia, at bumulaga sa salas ang mga party poppers at confetti. The child squealed in happiness. And then suddenly cried, “I hope my daddy is here too…” she uttered at napatahimik sila.
Desiree whispered, “Thank you…” to him.
