II - The Woman in Prophecy

THIRD PERSON

He pulled a chair and sat on it like he was used to, Lexus placed his feet on top of the table.

The other councils then looked at him for the actions that he had shown them as Lexus felt Aiden’s eyes fall upon him.

“Lexus, did you know the word respect our should I teach it to you?” Aiden annoyingly asked to make him feel ashamed, but without even having a second be counted, Lexus is already in front of him, gripping Aiden’s collar.

“And did you know the word death? Should I demonstrate it here, what do you think?” Lexus retorted as he took out a wooden stake that he always brought with him to kill a vampire that would go against him. The King then cleared his throat which caused Lexus to toss Aiden aside, making him hit the door of the room.

He knows that the King wanted to talk, that’s why Lexus sat down to listen to what he says, he needs to get the King’s side so that he could replace him.

If possible, he’d thrust the wooden stake onto Aiden, but he couldn’t because if that happens, Cascada will treat Lexus as a criminal, plus, their King is already full-fledged.

“I know both of you want my position to be the King of Cascada, but, we have a real problem to fix.” The King told them, like always, Lexus only sat with his eyes closed as if he isn’t interested in the topic. He only reads what the King says using his mind; one of his abilities is mind reading.

“What’s the problem, My King?” one of the councils named Leandro asked, he’s one of the vampires that received an award for participating in the past war against the werewolves.

“Do you remember the word prophecy?” The King asked the council that anyone will know what he’s talking about for it was mentioned in the war.

Lexus then sat properly that caught other’s attention.

“Lexus, it looks like you’re interested in this topic,” Aesop said, but he didn’t pay any attention to him and immediately focused on what the King has to say.

The prophecy, once he does it, he’ll become a full-fledged vampire and be able to battle the King and see Amelie.

“The woman in the prophecy, we should find her as soon as possible, but to do that, we should have a bunch of vampires to locate her, and that’s impossible because we don’t know her facial features. We can show our vampire side in the mortal world and follow her scent, but their images will change, and they will be scared of us. We are living in their imaginations, we can’t change anything, they are planning that if someone in us get caught by the mortals, we should turn them like us and if you don’t, you’ll have a penalty— a penalty that can kill an immortal like us.” The King explained as others just sighed, one of the rules of Cascada is to not fall for a mortal, for them, it’s just a mania because, vampires don’t feel any emotion, add the fact that no other mortal shall know who they are or it will bring them a death that even immortality can’t escape.

Lexus was then heading home as he thought about what they discussed with the administration earlier, walking here and there to think about how to do the required stuff that they gave to him and Aiden.

Both of them are required to find the said girl in the prophecy and make her a vampire so that Cascada would know who has the right to be the next King.

It isn’t easy for the both of them for they need to the mortal world and race on finding the girl in the prophecy of the werewolves, for the both of them is what the King’s choices to replace himself. If not for them moving then they wouldn’t have to find the chosen one, but it looks like the werewolves are planning to stop it, so they need to race on finding her.

There would be a star-shaped tattoo marked on the girl’s hand that would only show once the moon turns red, the sign when she’ll be giving birth to a child, but how will Lexus find the girl? Once one succeeds, one would be the throne’s successor, and as for the other, he’ll be killed and imprisoned.

Once he got home, he poured the deer’s blood in a small wine glass and started drinking as he gazed outside the window, looking at the crescent moon above that gives them strength, and when the time comes that the moon becomes full, they will start to get weak.

He didn’t get shocked when he heard a knock on the door, because a mile away, he already smelled the scent of blood, which is Aesop’s blood, He walked in and started talking.

“Lexus, what is your plan?” He asked, to be honest, Lexus hasn’t thought of any plan yet.

Lexus didn’t answer, which meant that he hasn’t thought of anything.

“It is just easy, you just need to pretend that you’re a human and observe what the women are doing,” Aesop assured him which made him think about Aesop’s idea.

‘Pretend to be a human, huh.’ he thought to himself.

“If you are thinking about money, you won’t run out of it because you’re a former billionaire. Did you remember your bank account and your father waiting for you to go home? The blood won’t run out too, Lexus, there is a lot of blood in the mortal world, and in no time, you’ll become a full-fledged vampire” Aesop said again, making Lexus think over his words for another time.

Everything seemed right when Aesop suggested it since it would be easy to do the things he would need to do if Lexus uses his father’s wealth, thinking that his father studied law and travelled different parts of the world that’s why he doesn’t go home. His father still sent letters so that Lexus won’t wonder that much because, in those ten years, his father never came back home.

It was stated that his father wanted to travel around the world and take law as a course before coming back here to get ready, but Lexus’ father doesn’t know that now, his son is in another world and a high classed vampire at that.

“You should find the woman in the prophecy, and once you find her, it’s either you kill her, or you take her child, then you’ll be the most powerful in this world of Cascada,” Aesop uttered, laughing like a demon. At this moment, the only thing in Aesop’s mind is the power he’ll receive once Lexus succeeds in finding the prophecy girl. Once that happens, the world would be filled with chaos, and everyone would be their followers.
