Maeve couldn't believe what Julian just said. She heard it but her mind refuses to believe them. It is just impossible that Julian never loved her. They bore a child together. How can he say that he's not in love with her ever?
"Julian, don't listen to my sister. She's just jealous of us, she doesn't have good intentions. Don't listen to whatever she told you." Other than Adriana bewitching Julian, Maeve couldn't think of any other reason why Julian would suddenly treat her so poorly. Julian wasn't like this. He was open with affection to her but after talking to Adriana, he's suddenly spouting nonsense.
"Adriana did not do anything nor say anything to me, Maeve. I am saying these things out of my own judgment. Don't accuse other people," Julian said, defending Adrian
