Maeve looked at their father and grandmother. With all the things that Adriana said, they looked like they are starting to take her side. She couldn't let it happen. She couldn't let them be swayed by Adriana. She has to have their favor until the end. She managed to do it before. She can certainly do it now.
"Even if I am an illegitimate daughter, I am still a daughter of the Roseinhart family by heart. I will never and it won't even become my intention to taint our family's reputation. Even if I get married, my roots are still in this family. I care about father's and grandma's reputations so much. I could never dare to stain that."
