Caleb Foster’s POV I woke up in my cell in the early hours of the morning. I could see through the tiny window at the top of my cell that the sun was just starting to rise over the horizon. They say that things always look better in the morning but whoever they are, they are a damned liar. Things looked just as dismal as they did last night if not worse because now I could see things more clearly. Freya left a few hours ago. She wanted to stay with me even though she was falling asleep on the bench outside my cell. Eventually I managed to persuade her to leave. I even got a couple of hours sleep on the hard shelf that passes for a bed in this cell. I wondered how long they were going to keep me in these cells.
