Caleb Foster’s POV
I knew it was going to be hard for Cleo to be so close to her mate while keeping her identity hidden but I didn’t know it would be quite this bad. It is hard to watch her struggling and I wish there was something I could do to make things easier for her. Earlier today when she was watching him across the field she looked as though she was at war with her wolf. The sad thing is that Mars isn’t worth any of this. He is a murderer and he doesn’t deserve a mate as special as her.
Although there isn’t anything I can do about Mars there are some things I can do to make her life easier. After classes finished for the day Cleo went for a run to calm down. While she was out I made us dinner and laid out the table for us to have a romantic meal together. I had cooked us lasagne
