Relief.
It’s strange how long it’s taken for the weight to finally start to lift from my chest. The van hums beneath me as we race toward some unknown destination, the rhythm of the tires on the road almost soothing after the chaos of the past few days.
I should be asleep, shouldn’t I? Resting, at least. But there’s a gnawing in the pit of my stomach that won’t let me be still. It’s this strange buzzing feeling in my limbs.
