“You need to stay alert all the time, Emanuel, if you really have feelings for that girl. They will not touch you because of your own unique identity, but Charlette’s background is not that strong,” Nicholas warned me with a worried expression on his face.
“I know what to do, Nicholas.” I replied with a stoic expression, my eyes still glued on my laptop. I had so much work to finish before entering school.
He also got information about Charlette's abduction. He told me that they were planning to abduct me too but their superiors stopped them at the last moment.
“Someone tipped about your interest in a girl to your grandfather. Be careful. He has his eyes on you now,” he added with the same expression.
For a second, my fingers stopped moving, but I resumed immediately.
