“I can’t leave you like this, Mom. You… you need someone to take care of,” I said to Mom worriedly, my voice cracked and tears pooling in my eyes.
She smiled faintly but she was too weak to say a word. She closed her eyes but didn’t release my hand.
I came back to the old apartment after Mom sent me a message that it was safe to come back.
Mom came back after five minutes I entered the apartment and god!!!!
I was so scared that I almost fainted on the spot when I saw her wounded body.
“I am going to cancel my registration for the competition. I can’t leave you like this,” I mumbled and was about to stand up from the floor when she held my hand tightly.
