The clock struck 11AM in the morning. All the students, professors and non-teaching staff of the Department of Commerce were sitting in the auditorium and the dignitaries began to arrive at the venue. All the businessmen and businesswomen were personally welcomed by Dr. Khanna, the principal of the college who had personally appreciated Naina for her hard work and creativity. He was pretty amazed with the idea of this conference which would ultimately increase the rate of placements of students along with getting plentiful of sponsors for the upcoming Centennial celebrations. When the Principal appreciated her, she was really grateful for the token of appreciation. She was happy that her hard work had paid off. Everyone was seated at the venue. The people started interacting with each other especially the ones from the business world. The ambiance of the beautifully decorated auditorium displayed opulence along with positive hopes for the future of the young undergraduates who sat there enthusiastically for the conference. Soon the Guest of Honour, Dr. Anuradha Dixit came who was personally welcomed by Dr. Shukla. Dr. Dixit, being an economist was a researcher of corporate market serving as an academician or precisely Professor Emeritus in the University. It was pleasure for all, that she had agreed to grace the event. Considering the right time to begin, Naina took over the podium and confidently began her welcome speech. "Good morning everyone With due respect, herein, I Dr. Naina Vashishtha welcome all the dignitaries who spared out their precious time to attend this event. It is really grateful for all of us especially, the students that our national ideals have come to enlighten and motivate us about their journey towards the invincible destination in the corporate world. I personally thank each and everyone for accepting our invitation." Feeling the eyes of everyone on herself, she took a deep breath and continued, "Not wasting the time of our corporate ideals, I request the Principal of the College, Dr. Mayank Khanna along with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Anuradha Dixit, the eminent corporate researcher to ignite the lamp and commemorate the beginning of this programme. Thank you" She came down from the stage and sipped a sip of water. She fumbled as she saw a pair of twinkling blue eyes keenly watching her. She immediately turned towards the other side and sat there as the students welcomed the dignitaries for their lectures and speeches. Naina was feeling content at her hard work and she was busy admiring the motifs on her silk sari unknowingly when she felt an urge to turn around and search those ravishing blue eyes. She turned around to find a handsome man with chiseled jawline and stunning stubble sitting elegantly in a navy blue business suit in the second row almost diagonally towards her and constantly staring her with those alluring blue eyes. Naina admired his well-built body and was at once, intimidated at his magnetic persona. Having checked him out completely, Naina gulped and turned towards the stage. Focusing on her memory to remember the person, she realized that the man was none other than her ideal, Mr. Nakul Mehta. She immediately felt guilty to have judged him and checked him out. She convinced herself that he must be looking towards the decorations on the wall near the stage, reprimanding herself to have an urge to check him out. She thought why would he see her when he would be having plentiful of beautiful model-like figures around him, after all, he is the leading hotelier. She also convinced herself that Mr. Nakul Mehta, being a dignified businessman wouldn’t be checking her out. After all, he had a reputation to maintain, she concluded. Chiding herself for the weird thoughts that crossed her mind, she forced herself to concentrate on the speech given by Raghav Chadda, the entrepreneur from biotech industry who was telling about the upcoming prospects in the healthcare sector. On the other hand, Nakul was mesmerized by the young lady in peach colored sari as he had entered the auditorium. He was never into women but something in this lady was alluring him towards her. As she introduced herself on the stage as Dr. Naina, he drowned himself in those mesmerizing black eyes. As she spoke further, he was allured her perfect plump lips embellished with pink lipstick. He chided himself but he couldn't control his mind from imagining himself touching those beautiful, long black hair while relishing the epitome of eternal beauty in front of him. He was simply attracted to the gorgeous girl in peach colored sari as she came back from the stage and sat on the front row. He had realized she was 'his' enchanting princess. He was constantly staring at her without her knowledge and enjoying his weird imaginations when she caught him up staring. He got nervous for a second but got relaxed when she sat and turned her back towards him. Chiding himself for those unwanted thoughts for a gracious lady, he tried to focus on the lecture but ended up observing the ear lobes embellished with round dangling earrings. Embarrassed at himself for having being attracted to the bewitching beauty, he scolded himself for his recently developed p*****t nature. He was trying to focus everywhere except her when she turned around and caught him staring at her. She noticed him with some creases on her forehead which disappeared slowly followed by her turning her face again. This time, Nakul really felt ashamed for behaving like a p*****t. He convinced himself that 'his' Naina was irritated at him but she chose to avoid so that event ends without any fiasco. After all, she was the one hosting the programme, he concluded. He was amused at his thoughts of 'his' ravishing Naina. He smiled at himself and got up to go towards the washroom as he realized he was the next to go onto the stage after five minutes and he had been involved into wild thoughts. He knew it wasn't good to think like that about a gracious lady but he was bound by the crazy, wild thoughts that crossed his mind. He left the cords of his heart to create an amazing dance in his body because he realized it's not good to stop his heart. He promised himself not to hurt his enchanting princess and excused himself.
