Chapter Twelve I awoke from a deep sleep. I had been dreaming I was at Juliet’s wedding and everyone was n***d, but I was dressed in a snowsuit with pink bunny slippers on my feet. The stuff of nightmares except for the bunny slippers. I was putting those on my shopping list. I glanced at my phone to see what time it was. Three o’clock in the morning. Practically the witching hour or was that three twenty? My stomach growled in protest at the early hour. I got out of bed and pulled on a robe. I was starving. Hopefully, they had something stashed in the kitchen that I could fix without making a mess. I’d be happy with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I tiptoed my way down to the kitchen. As I opened the swinging doors, I had to cover my eyes to the blinding glare of the overhead light
