Reaching Venus

I took Venus out to the faery glen. It was a special place in the faery ring that could only be accessed by using all four types of magic at once. I took all my dates here. They were usually very impressed.

Venus looked around for a second then asked, " We going swimming or what?"

Not the reaction I was used to but I got over that the second Venus stepped out of her pants, removed her shirt, and dove into the water. She was a petite girl with soft curves. I could have watched her do that one hundred times over.

" Don't tell me you're bailing on me already" Venus joked.

" Wouldn't dream of it" I replied before throwing my clothes to the side and jumping in with her.

I made the splash bigger than necessary, trying to splash her. She lifted her hands up immediately and diverted the water all around her. Then I noticed her hair was still perfectly dry despite having been submerged in the water seconds ago. It was an impressive show of magic.

" So, Ian... I can't imagine you had no one else to go swimming with." She prodded.

I shrugged and said, " Well maybe I just knew my friends wouldn't have been so spontaneous as to skip magic lessons for a random afternoon swim"

She rolled her eyes, " Oh please. I saw you talking to Maverick. He would have gone with you if you asked."

" Okay that is probably true. But he wouldn't have looked near as good doing it"

" Gotcha. Okay I will just float here and be eye candy. Easy enough" She said before closing her eyes and floating on her back.

While I wouldn't have complained about watching her for a while something in me really wanted to get to know her.

I waited until she opened one eye to look over at me.

I lifted my hands in mock surrender, " Hey I don't want to disturb your peace. If you don't want to talk to me I'm not going to force you."

She swam over to the edge of the pool and pulled herself up onto the bank. She motioned me over to sit next to her. We sat and talked for a while. We talked about my family, how long she had been living in the faery ring, our hobbies, her job at the academy stables. Then the talking led to kissing. Her lips were soft and full and she relaxed completely into me. Just as things were heating up my phone started to ring. At first we both ignored it but then it started again.

Venus pulled back and said, " Wow, Ian Archer. Someone is really trying to get a hold of you. "

She hoped up and scampered over to where my pants lay. She fished my phone out and answered the phone putting it on speaker.

" Hey sweetie, I've been waiting for you. I thought we were meeting for dinner tonight." the voice of one of my girlfriends rang through the air.

Venus looked at the screen with a frown. She would've seen a silly picture of the girl who had just spoken. Wendy was an air elemental. She was a free spirit who was constantly bouncing from one hobby to the next. She liked to be busy so she didn't have much time for me. That's what I liked about Wendy. She wasn't clingy or needy. That did mean on the rare occasion that we made plans it was difficult to forget.

" Hey Wendy, I lost track of time. I'm actually in the middle of something at the moment. I'll call you back tomorrow and we can reschedule." I said before taking the phone from Venus and hanging up.

Venus raised an eyebrow at me and asked, " So.....should I be worried about 'sweetie' coming after me for kissing her boyfriend?"

"About that...I'm real sorry Venus I should've mentioned this sooner. Wendy is actually one of three girlfriends. They all know about each other. They are cool with it. I should've told you before all this"

Venus snorted a bit before saying, " You mean before we were making out half n***d? Yeah that would've been nice "

Now with a water elemental this could've gone one of two ways. If she was really mad I never would hear the end of it. She wouldn't be able to let it go and would probably never speak to me after today. Or maybe she would just go with the flow and be ok with it.

I sighed in relief when she said, " Well I guess if they are OK with it then so am I. But I have just missed an entire day of class so I should probably get going...try and figure out what I missed."

She pecked me on the cheek after gathering up her clothes. Within seconds she was gone. I was stunned. It was looking like I had found the fourth piece of the perfect girl.
