I ambled towards the back of the theater and revealed a hidden room by opening a secret door. I had on the black cloak and wore the hood. I covered myself with the cloak and hid my jacket in the private space. I adjusted the cloak and pulled the hood up to cover my head. My eyes were covered as the hood fell down. It descends just enough to conceal my eyes from any onlookers. I circled back to the building’s front by walking. The sound of cheering and fighting grew louder as I made my way to the front. When I glanced over, Korrack was holding the door open for me. I acknowledged him with a slight nod and entered the building. I was surprised that anyone could hear over the deafening noise inside the theater. I stood there for about a minute before a silence swept through the crowd, causing everyone to halt and direct their gaze towards Korrack and myself. As I made my way towards the middle of the fight, they separated. Each person bowed their head, and I acknowledged them with a brief nod as I walked past. Upon reaching the center of the circle, the two fighters separated and directed their gaze towards me. Their appearance was completely disfigured. Their faces were covered in freely flowing blood. With no shirts on, the fighters displayed their well-defined six-pack abs and muscular biceps. I briefly scanned from left to right to identify the participants in the circle fight. The fighter positioned to my left was clearly showing signs of being beaten up. His height was approximately 5’4, and he had a ponytail with dirty blonde hair. Even in the midst of triumph and fury, his eyes maintained their enchanting forest green color, reflecting both passion and determination. His arms were drenched in blood, and he had scratches across his chest and numerous bite marks all over his body. The opponent didn’t seem as unfavorable. Standing at approximately 5’10" tall, he had short, wiry brown hair. Beside his black eye His eyes had a warm chocolate brown color to them.
“Are you guys having a blast?”
There was complete silence, with no one uttering a word. Their appearance was one of complete horror. I averted my eyes and nodded disapprovingly until someone finally broke the silence.
“A warm welcome to Korrack and Mystery.”
The voice was so irritating that it reminded me of nails on a chalkboard. I rotated my body towards the source of the voice. I already knew who was speaking before I saw him. He appears as his usual arrogant self, sporting a devilish smile.
“Brutus, good evening. How are things going for you this evening?Despite my deep-seated animosity, I managed to speak those words. If you want to label him as a man.
“Mystery, there’s no need to be so formal. The reason for your presence here is known to everyone.”
“Brutus, my kindness is simply a matter of etiquette. I’m curious about the current whereabouts of Morifirer.”
While I inquired, Brutus advanced towards me, clasping his hands together and wearing a sinister smile. With each step closer, he would release a brief chuckle every now and then. I observed that everyone was moving in closer to Korrack and me. I formed the snapping gesture by bringing my middle finger and thumb together.
Brutus, I won’t repeat my request. Do you know his whereabouts?”
“He around. Somewhere.,” he bursts into laughter.
The crowd kept moving nearer. The sensation of being stuck was beginning to take hold. With my hand raised, my fingers remained in the snapping position.
“One more step and everyone will get it.” I said this, trying to hide the fact my fear was rising to the surface as I spoke.
I skillfully avoided the person on my left who made an attempt to snatch me and let go of my hand. Which move was the one that shouldn’t have been made. They were expecting it. At the ball, I entered and Korrack fought to protect me, pushing and pulling people away. I did my best to prevent them from ripping off my hood while I was in my ball shape. I have managed to keep my physical appearance a secret from everyone. They only know what I choose to show them. A woman, standing at 5’2, dresses in black and pink with her upper face covered to hide her eyes. The color of my eyes is icy blue. If anyone caught a glimpse of them, they would instantly know me. That’s not something I can allow, neither here nor now.
“MORIFIRERRRRR!!!!!!” I yelled “MORIFIRERRRR!!! Korrack can you see him?”
“Unfortunately, I am unable to do that. Mystery, stay down!”
“What do you believe I am currently engaged in?!?!?! I am getting really pissed off by now.”
I continued to hold onto the hood. I am continuously assaulted with kicks and punches to my back, as they make multiple attempts to remove my hood. My back, sides, and head were subjected to painful kicks and punches, causing me to wince in agony. I was knocked over and found myself on my side, clutching onto my hood. Despite Korrack’s pleas for Morifirer and for them to leave me alone, they ignored him. I was so enraged by anger that my blood reached boiling point. I’ve reached my limit with all this teaming up against us. A loud scream escaped me.
I forcefully moved my arm to the side and shouted, “Enough!”
Everyone abruptly stopped moving. I rose from my previous position on the ground. I straightened my clothes and adjusted my hood, which was still covering my face. I inhaled deeply, seeking solace, and scanned my surroundings. Each person remained immobile. I relocated myself next to Korrack and made contact by placing my hand on him. I saw him collapse and hit the ground.
“Are you feeling okay?” He asked shortly after he recovered.
“Yes, and I’m going to show your brother who’s boss. What audacity he has to do this! He will soon realize the mistake he’s made. I’m curious about the whereabouts of Morifirer.”
What is the duration of that freeze?”
Until I thaw them, they have the ability to hear everything we say. They just can’t move.”
While speaking, I was also searching the room for Brutus or Morifirer. I had no luck locating Morifirer, but I did manage to find Brutus. I felt a surge of anger returning. Korrack noticed and immediately got up, grabbing my hands and lifting them up. Fire engulfed my hands.
‘Rosie OW,’ he communicated to me inside my head. ‘Focus OW, we need to find OW Morifirer,’
As he had me concentrate on what was important, my anger began to diminish. Descending my hands. However, I kept my gaze fixed on Brutus.
“Korrack, I agree with you, but I still have unfinished business with him.”
“I comprehend, but our initial task is to locate Morifirer.”
“What approach do you suggest we take? I’m unable to detect his presence. They knocked him out or…”
“He is still alive.” Knowing my mind went straight to it. “Pay attention to me.”
I shifted my gaze towards him by turning my head. Tears were already starting to fill up my eyes.
LRest assured, we will track him down. He has to be here. I’ll investigate here and explore the lower levels of this location. Go check upstairs and we’ll reconvene here when we’re finished.”
With a swift nod, I conveyed my comprehension to him. Continuing past the crowd making a beeline for Brutus’ zone. As I passed by him, I had to resist the temptation to kick his rear end. Thankfully, the stairs were located directly behind him. Excluding the rooftop, there were hidden rooms on the five levels of the upper part of the building. It was going to require some time from me. I hurriedly ascended to the following level, hoping to find him there. My arrival was at the first door. I hesitated momentarily before twisting the doorknob. Closing my eyes, I turned the door handle. Opening it, I experienced the agonizing emptiness. The room contained no occupants. My anxiety started to increase when I couldn’t sense his presence. The uncertainty about his safety left me with feelings of loneliness, fear, anger, and sadness. I clenched my hand into a fist and struck the door. A loud thud was heard when I forcefully hit the door. I didn’t quit because there were still fifteen rooms left, along with seven hidden ones and the roof. He had no choice but to be in one of them. He had no choice but to do it. Running from room to room, I searched for hidden rooms and checked each one. All the rooms, even the hidden ones, were completely empty without a trace of the little girl or Morifirer. Nothing. Upon reaching the final door. The tears were ready to cascade, like a summer night waiting to unfold. Walking casually towards the door. I delayed opening the door for a bit. I could hear the sound of approaching footsteps. I studied the imprints made by someone walking. The culprit was Korrack. All he did was shake his head, signaling there was nothing. Turning towards the door, I swiftly opened it without hesitation. While the door was opening, I was watching. I couldn’t contain my tears any longer. They were gradually dropping. It became apparent to me that this room was void of any objects. I experienced a sudden weakness in my knees. The effort of supporting myself became overwhelming, causing me to slide down the doorframe and lose control of my tears. Just as I was about to fall, Korrack quickly came over and caught me. I could be held in his lap like a baby. I buried my head in his chest and kept crying.
“Korrack, where is he?”
“I’m sorry, Rosie, but I’m unsure.”
