Her Revenge on the Alpha

Chapter 6

James' POV

James stood afar silently watching his pack as they trained. He watched intensely as Kara spared a huge beefy guy, the guy attacked her and she quickly took him down without a struggle. When Beta Luke said she was their best fighter, he thought he was just bluffing, but he had seen how much of a badass she really was. He could not believe how much she had changed, now he wanted her more than anything, he failed to see how precious she was back in high school and wondered if things would have turned out differently if he had accepted her.

No, the pack would not have accepted her then, but now she has developed skills like no other, a body of a queen and a mind of an elder. They will accept her as their luna and he will make her his.

"Alpha James," James broke from his thoughts and glanced over his shoulder to see Beta Luke who calmly approached him. His aura was as powerful as an Alpha.

"Beta Luke," James replied with a nod as he turned his attention to face the field of training warriors. " I can't thank Alpha Hudson enough for his help. Now we can finally avenge my father's death with your help." He said firmly as he clenched his jaw as he thought of his father.

"We owe our gratitude to Alpha Kane for saving our pack when we were in jeopardy. We're just returning the favor." Luke replied as he turned his attention to the training ground.

Kara's POV

Kara intensely showed a group of warriors from the Blood Thirst pack some martial arts techniques. She practiced many types of fighting skills over the years, for any unexpected encounters she would have with James and she would have to show him who is the boss. Jason strolled around the group correcting their postures and stance. He smiled at Kara, and she gave him a slight nod as she went back to assisting a guy around sixteen years old on how to block an attack.

"Ten minutes break!" Kara shouted to the group of warriors, they exhaled in response and hurried to get some rest and food before the break was up.

Kara jogged towards a nearby tree where she left her bag to get some water. She took the tap off the water bottle and gulped down almost half of it.

She closed her eyes and leaned against the tree letting the cool summer wind glaze over her like she was lying in the ocean as the waves slowly took her in. She felt a small tap on her shoulder and she opened her eyes, a smile immediately lit her face as she saw Jason's deep blue eyes staring intensely at her. Now she really wishes she was in the ocean, she smiled at the thought.

"If I knew it would only take us coming back here for you to fall for me, I should've done that years ago. He placed his left hand above Kara's head on the tree chunk with his other on his hip as he smirked confidently.

Kara snapped out of her daydream the moment she felt hot air against her cheek. She began to turn bright red at how close Jason was to her, she looked at the distance smiling as she saw James and Luke staring at them. An idea piped into her head and she tilted her head to the side, placed her hand on Jason's arms slowly sliding her fingers on his bicep as she stared into his eyes with a sweet smile.

Luke's POV

Luke glanced at alpha James to see him clenched his fists, his jaw tightened and his eyes twitched. Luke turned his attention in the direction of his rage. There he saw Jason leaning against a tree as Kara placed her arms around his neck and started to play with his hair. Jason leaned in closer as he readied himself to place a kiss on her lips. James let out a loud growl and within seconds he had Jason pinned against the tree. James growled loudly as his eyes turned red sharp white canines peered through his lips as he slammed Jason's head against the tree.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY MATE?" He said in a low voice.

"She's not your mate," Jason replied with a smirk as if his life was not on the line.

James growled even louder with anger. Blood dripped from Jason's neck as James' sharp nails extend and dug into his flesh. James' bones began to c***k as his body shifted abnormally as his wolf took over.

Luke ran towards them, he grabbed James by his neck forcefully and flung him to the ground, his back hit a nearby tree and he immediately recovered from the sudden hit, now fully transformed into his wolf.

Kara ran to help Jason who leaned against the tree. He clutched his neck with his hand and tried to regain his breath. James wolf bared his teeth growling at Jason as he charged toward him. Luke stood before Jason as he blocked him from the wolf's view.

As James' wolf opened his mouth to grab Luke by his neck, he punched him in the side of his mouth, which caused the wolf to fall a few feet away from them. The wolf whimpered as he stood, he flexed his jaw to realize it was broken.

"STAND DOWN ALPHA!" He shouted. Luke's eyes glowed a bright yellow as he spoke.

James' wolf glanced behind him to see Kara cupping Jason's face, she then turned to him with pure anger and hate in her eyes. James wolf took a few steps back then he took off towards the woods. By then they had caught the attention of the entire pack, some had wide eyes and a gaped mouths, while others whispered at what they had just witnessed.

"What are you all staring at? Back to work." Luke said as he beckoned them to get back to training. He watched as Kara took Jason by the hand and led him back to the packhouse.

Kara's POV

"Why do you always tend to get yourself in trouble?" Kara asked Jason as she opened the pack door.

"Danger is my middle name," he replied with a little chuckle hoarsely.

Kara stopped as they entered the house. "Are you sure you're ok?" She asked worriedly. Jason gave her a small smile and nodded.

"I'm sorry I got you hurt....." Kara said sympathetically.

"Hey," Jason said as he tilted her head towards him. "It's not your fault James a jerk who doesn't know his boundaries."

"Oh my gosh, what happened?" They both turned to face the voice. Alexis stood before them with her mouth opened. Alexis went and grabbed his other hand as they headed up the stairs to Jason's temporary room.

"Ah, you know the usual. Male alphas showing dominance." Jason answered as if he was not the one in pain.

"NO!" Alexis exclaimed. "James did this to you? But why?" She asked. Jason looked at Kara with a smirk, Kara's face immediately turned into a red tomato. Alexis dropped Jason's hand and he winced at the unexpected movement.

"oh sorry," Alexis mumbled as she pulled his hand over her shoulder. "Wow, Jason you should know not to mess with another man's mate." Alexis finished.

"I AM NOT HIS MATE!" Kara said firmly as anger began to boil in her. Jason let out a cry as he limped to one side falling on Alexis. Kara grabbed his hand before both of them went spiraling down the stairs. "Sorry" she apologized.

Alexis opened the door to Jason's room and they entered and lay Jason on his bed. "I'll go get the pack doctor," Alexis said as she went through the door. Jason turned to look at Kara, who was lost in her thought as she stared at his neck which was now swollen with a shade of dark purple. She quietly took a seat beside him on the bed.

"Alexis does have a point you know?" Jason said as he stared at her. " You didn't reject him nor did you give him the chance to reject you. You guys are still connected by the bond and no matter how much anger you have towards him or no matter how much you want to hate him, the bond won't let you." Jason finished sadly.

Kara stood and headed towards the door, "It's time to finally reject that alpha, "she said, she slammed the door shut as she left.
