The night did not fall like it usually did.

Nyx felt it long before the sky began to change.
She stood at the edge of the training grounds, her eyes lifted toward the horizon. The moon had not yet darkened, but something in the air had shifted.
The land felt… quieter.. Distant.
Like a voice speaking from far away instead of beneath her feet.
Her wolf stirred uneasily.
“What is it?” Mara asked, stepping beside her.
Nyx didn’t lower her gaze.
“It’s starting.”

The moon hung low above the forest.
And a shadow had begun to crawl across its surface.
