One year later... Sterling Group had grown into one of the country's most successful companies. Thanks to Ariana's dedication, the company had completed several major projects, and she was promoted to Executive Director. She was no longer the woman who had been broken by betrayal. She had become stronger, wiser, and more confident. One evening, Sterling Group hosted a grand celebration for its success. Employees filled the ballroom with laughter and music. Adrian walked onto the stage. "I'd like to thank everyone for your hard work," he said. "But tonight, there's one person I'd like to thank the most." Everyone looked toward Ariana. She was surprised. Adrian stepped down from the stage and walked to her. "When you first joined this company, you were carrying a broken heart." "You never gave up." "You faced every challenge with courage." "And somewhere along the way..." "I fell in love with you." The room fell silent. Ariana's eyes filled with tears. Adrian knelt on one knee and took out a small velvet box. "Ariana..." The room erupted in applause. Adrian gently placed the ring on her finger. They embraced as everyone cheered. Across the city, Ethan sat on a park bench. His phone buzzed with a news notification showing a photo of Ariana and Adrian's engagement. He looked at the photo for a long moment. Then he smiled. "They look happy." He quietly locked his phone. "I once had the chance to protect that smile..." "I lost it because of my own choices." "But I'm grateful she found someone who truly deserves her." He stood up and walked away—not with regret alone, but with acceptance and hope that he, too, could build a better future. A few months later... Ariana and Adrian were married in a beautiful garden surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues. As they exchanged vows, Adrian held Ariana's hands. "I promise to stand beside you in every season of life." Ariana smiled. "And I promise to choose trust over fear, every single day." As they shared their first dance as husband and wife, white flowers drifted gently in the breeze. For the first time in years, Ariana's heart was completely at peace. She realized that betrayal had not been the end of her story. It had been the beginning of a stronger, happier life. The End
