Ariana had earned the respect of everyone in the company.
One morning, Adrian invited her to the rooftop garden.
"I have something important to tell you," he said.
He handed her an envelope.

"You deserve this," Adrian said with a smile.
Ariana looked at him, surprised.
"You knew about this?"

He stood up.

They walked away in opposite directions—this time with peace instead of heartbreak.
A week later, Sterling Group held a celebration for Ariana's promotion.
As the party ended, Adrian asked Ariana to take a walk in the company garden.
The evening breeze was gentle.
"I've been wanting to tell you something," Adrian said.
Ariana smiled.
"I know."
"You do?"
"You've always been there when I needed support."
"You never tried to replace my past."
"You simply helped me build a new future."
Adrian took a deep breath.
"I love you, Ariana."
She stepped closer and held his hand.
"I love you too."
They smiled at each other as the city lights sparkled in the distance.
Ariana finally understood that true love wasn't about grand promises.

She looked at the sky and whispered,
