The abandoned warehouse was silent.
Ethan stood at the entrance, staring at Sophia and Victor.
His voice was calm but cold.
"So... this is the secret you've been hiding."
Sophia's face turned pale.
"Ethan... please listen to me."
Victor laughed.
"She never told you, did she?"
Ethan ignored him.
"I want to hear the truth from Sophia."
Sophia lowered her head, tears filling her eyes.
"Before I met you, Victor tricked me into investing my savings. When I discovered it was a scam, he started blackmailing me. After our wedding, he demanded more money and threatened to ruin my life if I refused."
Ethan frowned.
"So the money missing from my account..."
"I transferred it," Sophia admitted. "I was scared."
"You should have trusted me," Ethan replied quietly.
"I know... but I thought you'd leave me."
Ethan sighed.
"The lies hurt more than the truth."
Just then, police sirens echoed outside.
Victor tried to escape, but officers surrounded him.
"Victor Hayes, you're under arrest for fraud and blackmail."
Victor glared at Sophia as he was taken away.
"This isn't over!"
The warehouse became quiet again.
Sophia looked at Ethan.
"I'm sorry for everything."
Ethan closed his eyes.
"I need time. I don't know if I can forgive you."
Sophia nodded and slowly walked away.

She smiled.
"I want to prove I earned this position."
"You already have," Adrian said.
His words made Ariana smile for the first time that day.
As she left the office, she didn't notice someone watching her from across the street.
The mysterious person made a phone call.
"The plan has begun," the stranger whispered.
"They have no idea what's coming next
