“Why won’t you let me sleep? Just let me sleep, Jake. For five more minutes. Please,” I muttered, half asleep.
“You said that an hour ago!”
“This once. Last time,” I bargained, already drifting off.
“Alright. I’m setting a timer this time,” He seemed to say but I was already gone
I was dreaming of giant pineapples talking when I started to shiver. Before long, someone was shaking me and the pineapples in my dream started to blink in and out of focus.
“Wait for forrrrr me,” The pineapple king reached for me but as he ran to me, he fell and splattered open.
“What? What, Jake, what?” I grumbled as I awoke. “You interrupted a good dream,” I huffed, making him snort.
