When I wrote the first book, it was supposed to end there. In fact, Jake was first called Jack and I forgot midway and switched his name. But then I started to like Clara, the supportive friend, so I decided to expand her character.
Jake was supposed to be much worse but he didn't want to get to a point where he would be too far gone and completely unredeemable.
