Good Boy

Felix watched in horror as Midnight and Jade dove, letting out brilliant fireballs that crushed the canons. The crew went into a panic and, before they recovered, the dragons were out of sight. He could see the crew scrambling to fight the beasts that they feared. Their only real defense were the canons. He climbed onto the deck and dove behind some barrels before he caught anyone's eyes. He looked up and found not three, but four dragons circling above. Alaina. "Yes," he whispered as he waved at her. Big enough to show where he was but small enough so it was unnoticeable. She didn't see him but Midnight did. Felix smiled as Midnight dove with a yell and Alaina yelled after him. Arrows flew through the air but the bounced helplessly off his scales. He wouldn't be able to stop so Felix stood and ran towards the end of the boat. He jumped off the side and felt Midnight's claws wrap around his biceps. "Yeah!" He yelled as they soared over the water. With a spin, Felix was through into the air and landed safely onto Midnight's back. Felix turned so that they were facing the slave ship that was on flames. There had to be more people on there. They wouldn't just kidnap one. He steered Midnight up to where they were waiting with grins on their faces. "Good boy," Alaina said to Midnight. She pulled out my sword and threw it Felix's way. He caught it out of the air easily and used it to point at the ship below. "There's going to be more people down there," he said. Alaina nodded as she glared down at the boat. "Well," Jasmine said with an excited grin, "I don't think it can take much more of the dragon fire. But, we can take them all." "Their skilled fighters," Jade said, "their not just some traders." "Me and Felix have been training to fight since birth," Jasmine reminded her, "me with magic and his with a sword. You're easily once of the best woman swordsman I've ever seen and we've got Alaina. Who trained with Erin and Fergus! Erin might be a bad guy but he knows how to fight and he taught her. So, I think we're good." "Fine," Jade sighed as she glared at all of us. "Let's go," Alaina said with a grin as she and Jordan flew towards the ship with her clan flowing suit behind her. Felix watched as she jumped off of Jordan and tackled the biggest man on the ship. He was about to help her when she rolled off him, his sword in her hand. That's my girl, he thought as he jumped off his own dragon. He raised his sword and jumped into the fight. He couldn't help the grin that spread across his face just like every time he fought. What can he say? He enjoyed fighting for what's right. Especially with his closest friends fighting with him.
