Ethan’s pov
I hate my wolf. But I hate myself more.
The emergency elder council meeting is halfway through when my Beta sends an alert through the Mind-link.
Alpha. Fire at the Pack hospital. East wing. Third floor.
The wolf in my chest moves before I do. He slams into my ribs. He howls one name in my head.
Sora.
I shove my chair back. I drop the agenda. My shoulder breaks the glass door of the conference room on my way out. The Beta calls after me. I don't hear him.
Stairs. Shift. Four legs are faster than a steering wheel.
