Sora’s POV
When I wake up, Ethan is already gone.
I touch the warm spot on his pillow. Last night was so intense I passed out before I could tell him.
Maybe today. I'll find a good moment today.
The Pack school's number flashes on my screen while I'm changing the dressing on an old wolf in bed three.
I listen. I shove the gauze into the intern's hands. I run back to the locker room. Change out of scrubs.
Then I run to the kindergarten.
I count red lights as I drive. My head spins.
Did Yuki get hurt? Is the other kid okay? Did it happen indoors or outside? Was a teacher there?
I make it to Silver Paw Moonlit Academy. The two kids are sitting on opposite sides of the reception room.
