Chapter 10 Sora's POV Yuki finally tires herself out. She stands in front of me. Breathing hard. I crouch down. Pull her into my arms. She resists for a second. Goes stiff. But she doesn't push me away. I bury my face in her hair. I don't say anything. Everyone in the office is watching. I don't care. When she calms down, I wipe her face. "Let's go home." She follows me. The car is quiet. Yuki presses her cheek to the window. Watches the world go by. We're almost home when she speaks suddenly. Her voice is still hoarse. "Mommy doesn't want me anymore because I can't shift." My grip tightens on the steering wheel. "What? Who told you that?" She doesn't answer. She keeps looking out the window. "Yuki. Look at me." She turns slowly. Her eyes have that little-kid stubbornness.
