He finally comes back to himself enough to speak. It takes him a while.
"Sora." There's still a thread of panic under his voice, but he's forcing it down, reaching for the tone he uses once he's made up his mind about something. "I know I— there were things I got wrong. Back then. Maybe I didn't see clearly. Maybe I—"
He stops. Starts over.
"You're alive. That changes everything. I want to put things back on track. I'll take responsibility, as your Mate. Your status, anything you need — I'll arrange it. This time I'll handle it properly."
