Sora's POV The raid comes at two in the morning, out of the tree line to the east. I'm already awake. In a forward camp everyone sleeps light, so I hear the first howl from the perimeter patrol the moment it goes up. By the time the pack answers it, I'm dressed, blade on my hip, moving. Rogues in the trees means casualties within minutes. My team knows the drill. We don't run toward the center of the fighting — we run toward where the wounded will fall, the soft edge of the camp.
