Chapter 31  Ethan's POV The lights in the bridal boutique are too bright. The kind of white that leaves no shadow. They come down from every angle of the ceiling. Every inch of the store is lit. Lyra is on the platform in the center. The staff move around her. The designer holds up a roll of lace. Comparing. The stylist adjusts the temporary tiara pinned in her hair. Two assistants kneel at her feet measuring the hem. I sit on the sofa in the corner. I don't know how long I've been sitting here. One hour. Maybe two. The champagne in my hand went from cold to room temperature. I put it down. I haven't taken a sip. "Ethan." Lyra looks at me through the mirror. She doesn't turn around. She stays in the angle the designer asked her to hold. Shoulders relaxed. Arms loose at her sides
