Alpha Zephyr’s eyes sparkled the moment they landed on me, his lips curving into an easy smile. He walked with confidence, as always, but there was a warmth in his gaze that had a way of making me feel seen, even on my worst days.
A smile tugged at my lips despite my terrible emotions. “Hi. It’s been… days.”
He dragged a chair across from us and settled down, leaning forward slightly as if this were the highlight of his evening.
