“Call me once you’re done,” Mav said, and I nodded, watching his car pull away. He dropped me at work and there were extra clothes back at the resort making me realize he had already had everything planned already.
Only after the car disappeared from sight did I realize I was still smiling. The grin stretched across my face as I entered the office, and the receptionist greeted me.
“Good morning, Ms. Jasmine. I hope the day is as bright as your smile.” That’s when I realized I was beaming from ear to ear, my cheeks almost aching. I felt a blush creep up my neck and settle on my face as I awkwardly cleared my throat, thanking her for the compliment.
