Author's POV
Jayden was sitting in his office in his dark black suit leaning against his office chair, a glass of Scotch in his right hand, his raven black hair was perfectly set, and his deep blue eyes were staring only at her...
"How did you know that she was in my room to kill me?"
Jayden asked looking intensely at Ivy, he was desperate to catch a glimpse of smile on her face, curious to know how she will look while smiling but it looks like this girl and smile doesn't get along at all. She was the first girl whom he wanted to see smiling and was clearly frustrated and annoyed by the question why he wants that, he never behaved like this before.
Ivy was sitting in front of him in her uniform, black suit, hair tied in high ponytail, her face was calm as always, she looked void of any emotions like she didn't just murder someone brutally last night...
"I was standing in the balcony when I saw her sneaking in the mansion, boss.”
She replied in monotone...
"And what if you were not Standing there and was sleeping peacefully in your comfortable bed?"
Asher asked her in serious tone who was sitting in a chair next to her, he was looking handsome in his brown suit, some strands of his curly hair was falling on his forehead giving him a dangerous but handsome look, he raised his eyebrows questioningly at her.
His question made her frown her eyebrows slightly,
"What do you mean?"
She asked looking at him...
"You were standing in the balcony thats why you saw her but if you wouldn't have been there then Boss would have been dead by now or may be seriously injured, we hired you to protect him.
Asher said leaning forward, Jayden looked at him trying to understand his motive behind all his nonsense talk as it was the duty of the security to catch trespassers.
"But she did protect him last night.”
Sophie answered on behalf of ivy as she entered the office, she was wearing long sleeve turtleneck top and short jean skirt, Asher’s eyes snapped towards her direction when he heard her voice, Sophie eyes met with Asher’s and they blushed turning red, they exchange awkward smiles and she sat on other side of Ivy, hiding herself from Asher. Ivy and Jayden both noticed it, but didn't said anything, only difference was Jayden just shrugged it off and ivy didn’t give a f**k about it.
"Yes, she did but what I am saying is, it can happen again and what if she is not Standing in the balcony next time.”
Asher said seriously ignoring the feeling he got after seeing Sophie since last night.
"But we doubled the security I don't think anyone can enter so easily this time.”
Sophie said not looking at asher, her face was still red from all the blushing...
"Security was tight last night too, but still she managed to sneak in.” Asher replied back.
"He is right, no matter how much security is tight, Assassin's will manage to sneak in they get trained for that.”
Ivy said in serious tone...
"Are you sure because it's seriously very hard to break in here.”
Sophie said to Ivy, giving her, her opinion...
"I can break this tight security in less than six minutes, it's not difficult..."
Ivy replied back making everyone's eyes widen, and by seeing last night's scene, they knew that she is not blabbering, she can easily do that.
Asher’s lips turned upward slightly into smirk, Jayden saw it and narrowed his eyes at him questioningly, asher gestured him through his eyes to carry along with whatever he says now, the girls didn't notice their silent conversation.
"See, thats what I am talking about, Assassins can easily get in.”
Asher’s said banging his hand on the table...
Everyone's eyes snapped towards him, Jayden was sitting there with an evil smirk, he knows what asher is upto and was waiting for him to accomplish his plan.
"What's the point asher, what are you trying to say?"
Sophie asked giving him confused look along with ivy.
"What I want to say is Ivy can shift in his room until we find that person, so she can protect him.
Both Sophie and ivy’s eyes widened at his suggestion, and Jayden smirk deepened.
Ivy looked at Jayden confused, thinking what he is thinking about this suggestion.
"He is my boss, I can't move to his room and I'll be there whenever he needs me, I don't have to shift for that matter.”
Ivy replied sincerely
"We can't see the future Ivy, last night we got lucky.
Asher raised his eyebrows questioningly.”
Ivy turned her head towards Jayden, hoping that he will refuse, afterall he always liked his privacy, even if she didn't showed she was nervous to stay in one room with Jayden, she has never shared a room with any boy and that too with her mafia boss. She was anxious that he will accept it and It will become really awkward to stay with him, she was hoping for him to reject it because if he agrees then she has to. it, it's a rule, she can't deny him after that.
Jayden locked his eyes with ivy’s, seeing her confused expressions his eyes sparkled mischievously, thousands of dirty and naughty thoughts ran his mind imagining her in his room alone, but he didn't showcase it on his face.
He leaned forward on the big wooden desk.
"I think Asher is right, asher tell the maids to shift her things in my room, ivy you are moving in my room.”
He ordered in his bossy tone, all her hopes crashed down hearing his words, she stared at him for a long moment with her usual straight serious face.
"But it's not...”
She tried to say but before she could finish her sentence Jayden cut her in between...
"It's an order ivy, I am not asking you...”
His voice was hard and bossy, but internally he was grinning, enjoying the fact that he took one step closer towards his goal. He could easily hire more skilled people for his protection but where's the fun in that, he wanted to keep this little flower close to him...
"Ok boss.”
Ivy replied respectfully, but internally she was not happy with the end result.
On other hand Jayden’s insides were dancing in excitement, asher gave him a mischievous smile...
Sophie saw their silent conversation while ivy was in her own trance thinking about the moving...
