Dravina POV “Is everything alright, Miss?” Aveline’s voice broke through the fog of my thoughts, drawing me back into the present. I turned toward her, momentarily confused by the worry etched on her face until I felt the wetness trailing down my cheek. Silent tears had escaped, uninvited and unchecked, stirred by the ghost of memories I’d rather forget memories of my life with Cassian. The weight of it all was crushing. There’s only so much grief one can bury before it begins to seep through the cracks.
