She grasped the door knob, and the creaky door swung open. Memories of Klaus's words echoed in her mind: "Men will always be dangerous to women, no matter the circumstances." Her thoughts drifted back to the fateful day before she left the Redwood pack. The pain still lingered, a constant reminder of what had been taken from her. She couldn't believe that Klaus, the man she once trusted, had stolen her innocence. Her eyes began to well up with tears as she recalled the betrayal. She had lost the people she once called family, but they had never truly been family. Klaus's actions had left her feeling shattered and alone. She took a deep breath, pushing aside the painful memories. Her priority now was to escape the vampire land and erase any traces that might lead the Redwood pack to her.
