A lifetime of emotions hit me at once along with complete exhaustion. Plus, I was still hungry! Sadness, anger, happiness, love, worry ..... they all hit me like a freight train.
I cried for the good and the bad. Things I never cried about before and things that didn't deserve my tears again.
From not feeling wanted by Matthew and Catherine, being made to clean up after Catherine and take care of her house instead of having a childhood, finding out that, despite those things, I wasn't their child and the family that I thought I had was a ruse, hearing the family I should have had sacrificed their lives just to protect me, how the night Tim assaulted me ended up leading me to what became my real family, how they accepted me with open arms and helped me become who I am today ..... t
