Unbearable

CHAPTER FOUR

I cleared my ears with my hand to be sure I was hearing the right thing.

Everybody joined their hands together to clap.

"Whoa, Odetta, Odetta, Odetta" People started shouting and clapping.

They started praising her, that moment I had gone crazy, everything seemed to happen like a dream.

Tears flooded my cheeks but just then, I cleaned it and walked to the middle, where he was staying.

"You, Lucas, you dared do this to me, you betrayed me, I thought we loved each other, but you did this to me"

Lucas smiled and replied; "So you think I would actually get married to you?"

"What? We talked about this before we leave home, you said you would announce me as your mate"

"I actually reject you as my mate, Lilliana, what have you got to offer me? Well, s*x, you can be my s*x slave, but I choose Odetta with me, to rule over the blackwood pack"

I didn't believe this is coming from him, I was embarrassed, people started laughing at me, I became a laughing stuff at the mating ceremony

"The moon goddess will judge you, you dared do this to me, you used me, you promised and failed, it was all my fault for not agreeing with your mother"

Tears rolling down my cheeks.

"And do not forget I am the Alpha of this pack, be watchful of whatever you are saying, I rule over you and over this pack"

"Really? Is it how the past Alpha's does?"

"Do you want to teach me how to rule, please where are the guards" He turned back and saw his guards "Take her, and let her serve as a slave for seven days"

"What?....Lucas...me?" I screamed out.

I was dragged by the guards and was taken to the slave prison.

Days after, I was always forced to do hard work and whenever I felt tired, I would be beaten hard by the guards.

There was this day, I was very tired , I was resting.

"What are you doing here? You still haven't gotten used to this place? You should be out cutting trees" The guards with a deep and cold voice uttered.

I managed to stand up, but I was already exhausted.

I was already going when I hit my leg on a stone.

I found myself lying on the bed, I was about to sit comfortably, when Lucas came in.

"You are awake?, Anyways you can continue to work as a maid"

"Did I faint? What happened to me" I screamed out, as I was about to sit, I started feeling pain in all parts of my body.

"Well if you don't know, you fainted and they have actually treated you"

"Okay" I said sharply, looking at all parts of my body.

"Well, you would stop being a slave but continue to be a maid, I just want you to know your place, as my new wife, my darling won't accept nonsense from you.

"You, Lucas, Lucas you dared do this to me after all we have been through…."

"Been through? I mean tell me what you have been through? I have been an Alpha before I started using you"

"Before you started using me? So you have been using me" I asked curiously.

"I mean don't you ever sit down and reason? Do you think you can rule this awesome pack with me? So you have been craving to be called Liliana, Alpha Lucas's wife? And do you think it is possible"

"I never planned this, you came, you asked me out, I didn't agree, but later I did"

"But I didn't force you, Did I? So no point in what you have said, moreover I have the right to do what I want with you, you are my maid, who dares question my order? Who dares question what I do? None…"

He was talking, just then, his wife, Odetta came in.

"What are you discussing with her?" She said, packing her hair to the back.

"I am just trying to let her know she fainted and she can now become a maid now"

"Why did you suddenly say she should be a maid? You decided that without consulting me first"

"I am sorry darling" She kissed her and continued; "I just think we shouldn't let her suffer more, she suffered already"

"She has to face the consequences, don't you see how she embarrassed us in the mating ceremony?"

"I am sure she won't repeat that anymore."

My heart was just beating so fast, it was obvious from their discussion that they have been in a relationship since, but why is he playing me?

"Okay, she has to do more work than the other maids then, in fact she would do there work, I mean all, she needs to learn her lessons and know her place"

She looked at me and then knocked me in my head, before finally leaving.

I have been through a lot. Is suffering meant for only me?

Why is it that I have never had peace? From one trouble to one

I held my hair like I wanted to remove it. I had no one, no family, all I have is myself, I just want peace.

I continued serving as a maid in the chamber, they made me do all the work the maids are supposed to engage in.

I cried all day and it seemed as if the suffering would be non-stop.

I was about to go and serve Odetta her food, when I heard her conversing with Alpha Lucas and his mother.

"You need to get something done, people have actually been expecting you to get pregnant, you haven't gotten pregnancy since, what's going on"

"We have tried everything mum, we don't know what to do again"

"Mum, I am tired" Odetta uttered.

"I am thinking of even impregnating Liliana and after she had given birth my wife would take care of the child"

"What?" I couldn't believe what I heard.
