ADRIANNA’S POV
My jaw dropped to the floor and a soundless gasp escaped from what he just said. I had been in here for hours, eating myself up, racking my brain for a way to leave this place only for him to show up from nowhere to tell me he had a plan that could get us out.
It felt surreal, too good to be true. My mood suddenly lifted and a silent cry of relief broke out from my lips. More than anything, I wanted to run to him and thud him with a grateful hug but remembering the hindrances, the doubts, the gap between us, I had to hold myself back.
