“But I'm running late,” she said. “I'm really sorry ma I would love to but the order is from the boss” he said and walked away. Luckily for her she had a few changes with her and she boarded a cab that took her to her school. Andrew sat in his office when Florence crossed his mind. He was happy when he saw the marks on her body this morning. His grandpa called him yesterday scolding him for leaving his wife on the street on their wedding day. “How dare she report me like that,”he thought. That's why he decided to put her in a place where women should always know their place. He didn't want to make the same mistake his father made. The manager entered his office “sir you fired the secretary yesterday should I place a vacancy for a job?” “Yes but before then I would have someone to fill in the space till we find one” he replied not looking at the manager. After 2 hours the manager left and a slim blonde girl came into his office. “Andrew, why is your picture with a girl all over the internet when you get married?” She asked angrily. Andrew was confused but still managed to keep a cold face. “After everything we had you left me to marry some girl” Andrew picked the telephone beside him and made a call immediately two guards came and dragged her out. “Don't ever come back here” he said coldly “Andrew you would hear from me” she said before leaving. Florence was lucky when she got to school the presentation hadn't started, they built a robot that can merge its body together without help. They disconnected the robot and pressed a button on the remote the head joined with the body, hands and leg. Everyone was awed by their presentation. After the 5 groups have presented they took the second position. They built a robot with Artificial intelligence. “Bestie you tried, you're superb” Olivia said hugging her, her hand brushed against the wound on her back. She flinched. “What's that?” Olivia asked, disengaging from the hug. “I slept in an awkward position last night so my back is suffering from it” “Oh sorry you this careless girl” They laughed. Florence noticed everyone was looking at her “why is everyone looking at me.” “Stupid girl, it might be because of the presentation you guys did really well. I'm sure the school must have posted it on their page” she opened her phone and was dumbfounded. “Are you married?” She asked, confused. “How did you know, why the question” “Because this is why everyone has been looking at you like you've grown two heads” She snatched her phone and saw the picture of her and Andrew on the internet with write-ups. “Who could have posted this?” “You got married without telling me not just anybody you were getting married to Andrew Anderson and you didn't inform me.” She said and walked away obviously angry. “Olivia I can explain, it's not what you think” she said and ran after her. “Grandpa, were you the one that posted those pictures on the internet?” Andrew asked as soon as he entered his house. That's not a pleasant way to greet your grandpa” he said casually. “That still doesn't answer my question” “Yes I'm the one” he sipped his drink “I thought we agreed to keep the marriage a secret.” “Well let's say I changed my mind.” Andrew was speechless; he didn't know what to say again. “Okay it has gotten to this” he said and left. He wanted Andrew to feel a sense of responsibility; he knew if they keep hiding the marriage he will continue living his bachelor lifestyle. Andrew drove at a high speed disobeying all the traffic rules he was very angry he wanted someone to take the blame and the only person when traced back was Florence he had a beautiful relationship with his grandpa everything was ruined when she came into the picture. “Olivia hey wait stop walking fast”she ran after her and grabbed her wrist. Olivia folded her arms and looked away. “What's the attitude for can you drop it let's talk” Olivia still didn't say anything “The marriage was a secret marriage I wasn't allowed to invite my friends, I don't know how those pictures got to the internet” “Are you saying that if those pictures never appeared on the internet you wouldn't have told me, why on earth did you agree to a secret marriage” “That's not what I'm trying to say I wanted to tell you later please don't misunderstand me, forgive your bestie please” “Okay I will only forgive you if you promise to treat me to a meal in your house” she said. “What, why don't you choose another place, Andrew doesn't allow strangers into his house.” “I'm not a stranger I'm your bestie” “I know but he doesn't know you maybe I will invite you later” “Okay just buy me a meal during lunch” Florence was happy she let go she didn't want her best friend to see how she's treated so she came up with the excuse. After school she boarded a taxi that took her to Andrew's company. She knew her way because she had been there when her parents worked there. During the ride she kept on wondering why he wanted her to come to the office. She started thinking of the worst possible scenarios as she thought shivers ran down her spine. “Miss we're here” she snapped out of her thoughts. “Okay thanks” she said and paid him. She walked into the building everyone recognized her and greeted her, some looked at her with hatred while others looked at her with warmth. She walked to the receptionist “Good morning I'm looking for Andrew's office.” “Oh take the lift to the top floor” she replied politely. “Thanks.” She took the lift to the top floor. When she got there she saw an office which had a board written CEO in front, it was the only office there. She stood in front of the door contemplating, finally she knocked “Come in” she came in and saw he was doing paperwork. “You're late,” he said, not looking at her.
