What's wrong with him is this really how he is, will he also be cold to me like his employers?” she began thinking it seems he doesn't even love me. I thought grandpa said we've been betrothed since I was five. Why is he acting all the cold? she thought. She didn't even know her way around and he didn't care how their marriage was going to be. She decided to call her grandpa. “Hello grandpa” she said when he picked the call. “Are you home now” he asked Um not really Andrew said he has somewhere important to go to so he said I should find my way I forgot to ask for the street number” she lied she didn't even know if her lie was convincing. There was silence on the other end for like 10 seconds “ okay I'll text you the address” “Okay grandpa bye”. She ended the call. Immediately her phone lit up it was the address sent by her grandpa She boarded a bus which took her to the address on getting there she was awed the house was magnificent she was admiring the house but immediately became sad is that how he always is. This is just the first day and it's like this she tried convincing herself that maybe he was in a bad mood She ringed the door bell an elderly woman came out probably in her late 50s she looked at her and smiled “Oh Florence how are you doing you've grown so well it's just like yesterday when you were born” she said touching her cheek “Are you Aunty Jennifer?” she said, returning the smile. Aunty Jennifer nodded. Grandpa has said lots of things about you to me, you're Andrew's nanny right? She asked “Yes come inside my dear” she said, extending her hands. “You look stressed and tired will you like to freshen up then come down to eat” she asked “Yes, my clothes are here already, grandpa said someone would send my clothes here” Florence asked. “Is..is…um.. Andrew home yet” she asked nervously. She didn't know why she was nervous but she remembered what happened in the car and shivers ran down her spine. “No he's not yet back”. Aunty Jennifer said. “ Why didn't the both of you come back together” “I think he…he…had something important to attend to” she said. “I'll show you to Andrew's room I'll lead the way” Aunty Jennifer said as Florence trailed behind her as they went up. There were lots of doors they continued walking till they got to the one in the center Aunty Jennifer opened the door Florence was awed when she walked in the room was enormous, quarter of the bed wasn't up to her bed. There were two wardrobes by the side. The room was neatly arranged and it had the scent of his cologne. This is where you would be staying with Andrew” she pointed at the wardrobe at the left “that is your wardrobe your clothes are inside.” she said “Feel free to call me if you need anything” she said “Okay Aunty I'll see you in a while” Florence said she and went into the bathroom after taking her shower she came out with a big white robe she opened the wardrobe and saw lots of clothes which she was sure would cost a fortune. She found short's and a baggie top she wore and went downstairs she saw aunty Jennifer in the kitchen she was still cooking. “Aunty can I give you a hand” Florence offered “oh no dear you don't have to just sit in the dining while I prepare lunch” “No aunty I insist she said” giving her that I'm not backing off look “Okay you can help with cutting the veggies” okay Aunty she started cutting the vegetables. “Um Aunty Jennifer, did anything happen this morning with Andrew?” she asked, still chopping the vegetables. I'm not sure if anything happened? She asked and looked at her face before turning back to her pot “He was mean to me,” Florence said, disappointed. See my daughter, that's how he is okay. If you really want to live with Andrew you have to tolerate him, be patient and understand him. Did he do anything? “No, he was just cold,” she said. Ah okay that's typical Andrew.” They laughed but Florence thought she didn't do anything and he treated her like that. What more could he do? “You have school tomorrow right? Aunty Jennifer asked while Florence just nodded “Why did you get married when you're still in highschool” “Grandpa told me once I turn 18 I have to marry Andrew and also I love Andrew the day I set his eyes on his picture as a little girl I started crushing on him not knowing it's love”. “Does he love you too?” Aunty Jennifer asked. “Um I don't know Aunty but if he doesn't love me he wouldn't have married me right?” Aunty Jennifer just smiled; she looked too innocent to stay with Andrew. When they were done cooking they served the food and ate. “Mmmhhh this is delicious, I really can cook” she moaned you didn't cook, you only helped me run errands. I helped in running errands so I cooked. They started laughing hard. “Where is that slut” A deep cold masculine voice sounded from outside. Isn't that Andrew's voice why is he so angry” Florence asked. I don't know what could have made him this angry.” aunty Jennifer Andrew walked into the dining room and he glared at Florence. Taking slow and intimidating steps towards her he asked “What did you tell my grandpa?” he asked looking deep into her eyes. “I didn't tell him anything,” Florence said, standing from the seat and taking steps backwards. “Andrew you have to calm down let's sort things out alright” Aunty Jennifer said trying to soothe him. He held out his hand “Aunty stay away from this” Aunty Jennifer knew better than to stay away from this. “What did you tell my grandpa?” he asked again, this time his eyes were very dark. Florence didn't realize she was trembling.
