WE MADE A JOINT pit stop in north Georgia, at which point I relieved Kevin at the wheel, and Robbie asked if Anthony could ride with him the rest of the way. Two hours later I followed Mike’s Explorer off of I-85 onto Peachtree Street NE in Atlanta. A couple of miles up Peachtree Street, I saw St. Philip’s Cathedral ahead of us, and when we reached the Cathedral, Mike signaled a turn to the left. He led us down a side street, made a couple of turns, and pulled into a circular driveway leading to a huge mansion.
“Land sakes,” Grandma said. “George and Mike said these people were rich, but I wasn’t expecting this. I won’t know how to act.”
