Ryan's POV Ever since the charity event, my inner wolf had been pacing the periphery of my thoughts. Every pulse was a reminder of how close we had come to peril, and the wrath that was building inside of me felt like a second heartbeat. These days, I found myself to be one of those who preferred to act all “civilized” and not at all a being of a dual nature. This attitude in the eyes of my father Ron, was the marking of a premature kid, one who didn't know how the world worked at all.
